I lived in this 1887 home during the renovation, which hadn’t been updated since the 1980s. The biggest challenge was leveling the floors—removing two layers of subfloor and adding support beams to ensure stability in key areas like stairs and the kitchen.
The kitchen and bathroom were completely remodeled, the master bedroom gained his-and-her walk-in closets, and an upstairs laundry room and bathroom were added. This transformed the house from a 3-bed, 1-bath with laundry in the bathroom, to a 3-bed, 2-bath with dedicated laundry space.
We also added three custom built-ins: a back entry cubby, an electric fireplace with storage, and a front entry closet area, blending modern function with historic charm.
